1st Kings 21:1-16
Introduction
I am going to make a prophetic declaration today. Some would call this a sermon but I call it a declaration.
I came in today understanding and knowing my assignment. I told all a few weeks ago that I would not waste another second preaching what is pleasing to the listener but today I am going to preach what is needed.
I had planned for the 2nd week in a row to preach and start a series but the Holy Ghost arrested me last night and said “You ain’t gonna do that this week.”
I come to you as your pastor, equipped with the sword of the spirit to tell Jezebel that Renovation Church IS NOT for sale.
Somebody is going to break free from the attacks of Jezebel in your life. Slap somebody and tell them Neighbor, I am not for sale!
Some of you are battling depression and you dont know why. You’ve been stricken with anxiety and you dont know why. You are battling sexual desires and you dont know why. Some are or have been suicidal and you don’t know why…some are in lack but you dont know why. Some are being emotionally drained and you don’t know why.
Your name is being drug through the mud. Your reputation has been attacked. Your desire to do ministry is gone. You feel like you are no longer anointed for the task at hand.
You just need to break free from Jezebel!
She’s pressuring you to sell out and give up but I wish I had some people in the house today who would make the declaration…Jezebel, you can’t have my family. You can’t have my church. You can’t have the youth group. You cant have our children.
Jezebel you can’t have my purpose. You can’t have my anointing. You can’t have my calling.
I’M NOT FOR SALE!
God help me today…
There is an attack that is taking place around the world today. It is an attack on Godliness and Holiness. It presents itself as “having a form of Godliness” but it denies the power.
Some of the largest Christian organizations have started condoning and accepting sexual immorality. One of the largest denominations within the last 2 years made the decision to ordain homosexual ministers with the driving force being “equality” and “Love”.
Love is not an excuse for us to settle for compromise.
Jezebel’s agenda has not changed since Old Testament days. Well, Pastor, Jezebel died. You are right. Jezebel the person did die, but her spirit is alive and it is deceiving people greatly in these last days.
You got bible? I wouldn’t say it if I didn’t. The Church of Thyatira in Revelation was attacked by Jezebel. Jesus actually said “You allowed that woman Jezebel who calls herself a prophetess to teach and seduce my servants.”
The agenda of Jezebel is to silence the prophets and take the anointing away from the church.
Most people do not realize they are operating in the spirit of Jezebel. This is a spirit that promotes Jealousy, manipulation, hatred, lies, immorality, sexual sin and more. When people are being controlled by a Jezebel spirit they become hungry for authority. Looking for a place where they feel needed. Looking for a place where they feel that people depends on them.
If you were to put this spirit on a list, it’s is one of the most destructive demons that Hell has to offer. It is to blame for destroying numerous pastors, evangelists, prophets, teachers, marriages, friendships, and homes.
It is an attempt to discreetly and secretly infiltrate the church, meaning that the spirit will be in the church; blending in with the church but also fighting against it.
A person who is operating in the spirit of Jezebel will worship with the wrong motives and pray with a purpose of vindication.
Someone who is operating in the spirit of Jezebel is a puppet with an evil spirit pulling the strings.
- Who is Jezebel?
Jezebel came from the country of Tyre where her father Ethball was king. The land of Tyre was known for Baal worship.
Baal worship is no where near the same as Jehovah worship. The more evil you become in Baal worship, the more holy you become in the eyes of Baal. The religion was erotic and demonic.
It involved prostitution and sexual immorality. It was the opposite of worshipping the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. That is why when Jezebel came to Samaria to join her husband, Ahab, she didn’t just kill the prophets of God, she slaughtered them. Meaning their bodies were torn apart limb by limb.
The spirit of Jezebel has attempted to slaughter the church by robbing people of their identities, trying to steal the purpose of God through sexuality.
We act like the preacher shouldn’t preach on this but listen to me…it’s time that the church gets it voice back.
Sex was not formed in a dark dungeon in the corner of Hell. Sex was made by God and he saw that it was good. He told Adam and Eve to be fruitful and multiply and in return he would give them dominion.
Jezebel wants your authority.
If you are in the room today struggling with homosexuality, bisexuality…we are not hating on you, we are informing you that yes you may have been born that way…but this is why Jesus said in John chapter 3; you must be born again!
Why is it important pastor?
If every man and woman in the world turned homosexual today, it would stop the reproduction on planet earth. If we no longer produce, we no longer have dominion.
If Jezebel can corrupt a generation and warp their mind enough to make them believe that God is permitting their lifestyle of sin. That you can love who you want to love and still go to heaven…listen to me…she can steal your dominion!
Jezebel is attacking this generation because she wants you to surrender the very thing that she has been after for years…Authority!
Jezebel wants a repeat of 1st Kings 18 in the world today. They did away with altars in Israel and replaced it with Asher poles and developed their own false prophets. They silenced the voice of God in the nation and caused damage to the land.
Jezebel is trying and fighting hard in these last days to break the communication between God and man so that she can then bring false prophecies and her friend the anti christ.
The Jezebel spirit will always cause destruction. She will damage the life of the people she controls and also the church that she is trying to overtake in order to get what she wants.
Many will preach and say that Jezebel is a sexual spirit but she does stop there. Some people can be controlled by Jezebel but never partake in sexual sin.
Jezebel is also a controlling spirit.
Jezebel would manipulate to get what she wanted and through this she would gain control. We see in scripture where she had Naboth killed by manipulating the people in the town and causing them to think that Ahab approved someone that she secretly had written.
This is how you can spot a Jezebel in the church. They go from this person to that person. Befriending someone long enough to use them and then moving on to someone else when they are useless to them.
In America we know see Jezebel at work. We went from a racism war, a political war, vaccinated against unvaccinated, and now sanity versus insanity. It is constantly on the move. You cannot tell me that this is not a demon.
The law in Israel protected Naboth because by law, Ahab could not take his vineyard because it was passed down to him as an inheritance.
Jezebel cannot go back and rewrite your family history.
So Jezebel knew the law and she knew that if she had Naboth killed during the famine and the drought that was present at the time, the vineyard would go to Ahab.
Not only is she controlling or manipulative but she is also seductive.
Listen to me…a seducing spirit starts in the mind.
We see this in Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. God told them they could partake in anything in the garden except the tree of knowledge. Satan came to them as a serpent and seduced the mind of eve by telling her that God was withholding power from them.
We all know the story. They ate of the fruit and were exiled from the garden. This is where seduction began. Now Jezebel is seducing the church and running rapid in the minds of believers causing them to backslide. This is why you hear people say that they refuse to go to church because there’s crooked people there.
There’s crooked people in Walmart but you go there several times a week.
Don’t let messed up people keep you from experiencing the goodness and the mercy of God and the power that is tapped into during cooperate worship.
The attack of Jezebel is an attack on the Godly.
Now the church is conforming to the ways of the world by allowing anything and everything in order to attract masses of people.
Zoom in on my face and listen to me loud and clear…
I want you to come hear, but I will not surrender my authority in order to keep you.
In Revelation 2:20, Jesus was speaking to John while he was in the spirit regarding the church of Thyatira because they allowed Jezebel to seduce and teach the servants of God.
The Greek word for seduce is plinato. This is where we get the word planet from, it means to roam.
It causes people to walk anybody path except the right path. It speaks to generations and says “do you really think God will hold who your love against you?” “Tell sister yay yay that rumor you heard about brother flip flop.” “Talk about the preacher, although he is trying his best to accommodate growth…”
We must love everyone but listen to me..
We cannot allow love be the reason we conform and compromise.
Let me clear something up…
The spirit of Jezebel is not only limited to women. Sometimes it posses a man. I have seen preachers who wore a suit and tie operate in the spirit of Jezebel. They were more interested in controlling and manipulating people in their congregation than they were interested in reaching the harvest.
I don't care how much you speak in tongues, how loud you shout, how much you dance, or how high you jump. If you are manipulative, controlling, narcissistic, condescending, gossiping, and hungry for authority…you are not speaking with a tongue given by the Holy Ghost but by the tongue of Jezebel.
The Holy Ghost will not only make you speak in tongues but he will also make you sit down and apologize.
2. Naboth’s Vineyard
Now let me preach this sermon. When Ahab came back to the palace pouting and Jezebel found out that he wanted the vineyard but was turned down; she began writing letters signed by Ahab that would eventually turn the town against Naboth.
Ahab wanted the vineyard because it was close to his house.
Jezebel wanted the vineyard because of what it produced.
A Jezebel spirit will always need an Ahab spirit to function. A weak person that she can control to get her way.
There are two main things that grow in a vineyard.
- Grapes
Grapes were used in biblical days, they still are today, for the purpose of making wine.
Ahab wanted the vineyard to change it to a vegetable garden.
Jezebel wants the wine.
The wine is an emblem that represents the presence of the Holy Spirit. Grapes are what is used to make the wine which explains why Jezebel would want the vineyard.
If Jezebel can steal the vineyard, she can steal the wine.
This is why many churches today have stopped seeing tangible moves of God. Some have not seen miracles in years. They haven’t witnessed an outpouring of the Holy Ghost in so long that they can’t remember the last time the fire fell.
They have surrendered the vine that produces the wine for a vegetable garden that produces a show.
What was Jesus first miracle? He turned water into Wine. What were the Fire baptized disciples accused of in acts 2? Being drunk with wine but peter standing up with the 11 said these men are not drunk with wine but this is that which was prophesied by the prophet Joel that in the last days sayeth God, I will pour out my spirit on all flesh…
We must not sell the vineyard!
Everyone who has a garden will walk people through it and say “Look what I have grown.”
The vineyard represented the church. This is why Jesus referred to himself as the vine and the church has the branches. He went on to say he who abides in me and I in him, bears fruit…that’s what happens when you leave a vineyard a vineyard; but what happens when you change a vineyard into a garden… look at the last verse.
“For without me you can do nothing…”
We cannot put more emphasis on production and showmanship than we do the presence of God. Many churches are limiting the moving of the Holy Ghost. Selling out to be the next big thing….But as for this vineyard called Renovation Chruch…WE ARE NOT FOR SALE!
The wine is also used in the last supper. Jesus said this represents my blood.
Without the blood, there is no remission for sin!
Jezebel wanted the vineyard because her spirit had a long term agenda. She wanted it because if she took the chruch out of the wine or out of the presence then there would be no anointing that breaks the yoke of bondage and no repentance which would create open borders.
I came to tell someone in the church today, Your wine isn’t cheap!
We don’t need a quick fix of religion, we need a move of the Holy Ghost!
B. Olives
Scientist say that no two plants could grow together as well as grapes grow with olives.
The Bible does not say what type of vineyard Naboth owned but during the timeframe, oil was very popular and they made it out of olives.
When Noah released the dove, it brought back a leaf off of an olive branch. When he released the dove again, it did not land until the New Testament when the spirit descended out of Heaven in the form of a dove and rested upon Jesus, the anointed one.
Why did Jezebel want the vineyard?
Because it was an inheritance. Naboth inherited it meaning it was passed down from generation to generation…
My grandma was a holiness woman. No pants, no makeup, and hair that would drag the floor. She and my grandpa raised 6 kids who could all sing. At one time, our entire family was in ministry.
Some of yall are focusing so much on the generational curses…listen to me, I am choosing to walk in a generational anointing and in generational blessing. You claim the bad traits of your family if you want to, but I am walking in the blessings that were passed down to me!
Jezebel wants to vineyard to gain authority of the seeds that were once planted long before you were ever thought of.
If she changed the vineyard to a garden, the anointing would no longer flow.
We cannot function without the anointing.
3. Your Vineyard
Not only did Jezebel want Naboth’s Vineyard, but she wants yours too.
She wants you to sell out on every moral and every value that has been handed down to you. She wants you to compromise. She wants you to give up your authority. She wants you tot are a backseat to immorality and give up your anointing but I came to tell someone in the place today…
Jezebel needs to go back to Hell where she belongs.
Lord, raise up some Naboths in Renovation Church who will stand and say, I refuse to sell the anointing. I refuse to sell the Holy Ghost. I refuse tomb give up my calling, I refuse to give up my inheritance.
Give us some people show ill say no to immorality. Give us some poeple who will stand up against powers and principalities and proclaim what thus sayeth the Lord.
I came to remind someone in the room today…Your oil is not cheap.
Some may be selling theirs cheaply but yours is not cheap. You have endured the crushing. You have endured the breaking. You have come too far in your walk with God to allow a harlot that claims to be a prophetess bridle your tongue.
I came to tell this generation of believers that God is still pouring his spirit out in these last days. Upon every man and every woman.
I came to speak to some poeple that has has been bridled by the Jezebel spirit and tell you that God is pouring down a fresh oil from Heaven. Open your mouth and lift up a shout of praise.
Come on for the next 15 second, shout the roof off of this place. Break for from the grip of Jezebel!
Let the sons and daughters speak!
They have been told to shut up and sit down for too long…Open your mouth teenagers, lift up a shout of praise in this house today!
I came to put every Jezebel spirit on notice and tell you that you have been exposed for who you are and we are not falling for your tactics. This house will prosper. It will not fall away as you said. It will grow. It will flourish. We will see the harvest. This house is NOT FOR SALE!
Stand to your feet all over this house and Give Jesus a shout of praise!
Conclusion
I have been traveling and preaching for almost 10 years now and I have never met one person who would willingly admit that they were being controlled by Jezebel. I promise you this, there’s someone here today or watching online that is either being controlled or being attacked by this spirit.
The only way to break free form Jezebel is to evict her from the palace of your heart.
There are people here today who have been effected by the spirit of Jezebel and you are vital to the altar service today because in reality what you choose today is crucial.
You break free from her and her attacks but by staking your claim…..I AM NOT FOR SALE!
