Malachi 3:10, Matthew 6:19-21, 31-33
“Bring all the tithes into the storehouse That there may be food in My house, And try Me now in this,” Says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven And pour out for you such blessing That there will not be room enough to receive it.”
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; 20 but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Now go to verse 31…
“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.

“You can give and not love but it is impossible to love and not give” - Unknown
** All Christians are generous.**
- Psalm 37:21 - “The godly are generous givers.”
- Proverbs 22:26 - “The godly love to give.”
What is a tithe?
- A tithe according to Scripture is 10%.
- A tithe according to Malachi is to be brought into the store house (church). A tithe is out of obedience, but an offering is out of sacrifice.
The tithe must be first. Leviticus 27:30 - “And all the tithe of the land, whether of the seed of the land or of the fruit of the tree, is the Lord’s. It is holy to the Lord.
Exodus 13:2 - “Consecrate to Me all the firstborn, whatever opens the womb among the children of Israel, both of man and beast; it is Mine.”
12-13 - “that you shall [a]set apart to the Lord all that open the womb, that is, every firstborn that comes from an animal which you have; the males shall be the Lord’s. 13 But every firstborn of a donkey you shall redeem with a lamb; and if you will not redeem it, then you shall break its neck. And all the firstborn of man among your sons you shall redeem.”
The firstborn must be sacrificed or redeemed.
Jesus was God’s tithe.
The first fruits must be offered. Proverbs 3:9-10 - "Honor the Lord with your possessions, And with the first-fruits of all your increase; 10 So your barns will be filled with plenty, And your vats will overflow with new wine.”
Giving is not a wallet problem, it’s a heart problem. 1.Whatever I give HIM, I say HE is more valuable to me than what I release. 2.Whatever I hang on to, I say HE is less valuable to me than what I keep.
Exodus 13:14-15 - “So it shall be, when your son asks you in time to come, saying, ‘What is this?’ that you shall say to him, ‘By strength of hand the Lord brought us out of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. 15 And it came to pass, when Pharaoh was stubborn about letting us go, that the Lord killed all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both the firstborn of man and the firstborn of beast. Therefore I sacrifice to the Lord all males that open the womb, but all the firstborn of my sons I redeem.”
