What I see here is a man of God that has worked hard to follow after God and be obedient at the same time. What I see in our Pastor is the same thing I see in several mighty men in the bible. Today we are going on a journey through the bible looking at the mighty men God used and guided them in putting the pieces together for his glory.

Noah – He had to have a close relationship with God to be able to Put the pieces together to know how to build the Ark and what the purpose was for. Because of his faithfulness God blessed Noah

Genesis 9: 1-3 New King James Version

9 So God blessed Noah and his sons, and said to them: “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the earth. 2 And the fear of you and the dread of you shall be on every beast of the earth, on every bird of the air, on all that move on the earth, and on all the fish of the sea. They are given into your hand. 3 Every moving thing that lives shall be food for you. I have given you all things, even as the green herbs.

Job – He had to have a close relationship with God to be able to put the pieces together in his own life and have the faith to endure. But because of his faithfulness God blessed Job.

Job 42:12-17 New King James Version

12 Now the Lord blessed the latter days of Job more than his beginning; for he had fourteen thousand sheep, six thousand camels, one thousand yoke of oxen, and one thousand female donkeys. 13 He also had seven sons and three daughters. 14 And he called the name of the first Jemimah, the name of the second Keziah, and the name of the third Keren-Happuch. 15 In all the land were found no women so beautiful as the daughters of Job; and their father gave them an inheritance among their brothers. 16 After this Job lived one hundred and forty years, and saw his children and grandchildren for four generations. 17 So Job died, old and full of days.

Abraham – He had to have a close relationship with God to have faith to leave everything and be willing to sacrifice his son Isaac.

Genesis 12:1-3 nkjv

12 1 Now the Lord had said to Abram: "Get out of your country, From your family And from your father's house, To a land that I will show you. 2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you And make your name great; And you shall be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, And I will curse him who curses you; And in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed."

Moses – had to have a great relationship with God to be able to lead over 2 million people out of Egypt in the dessert for 40 years and who we got our 10 commandments and biblical laws from. A mighty man of God

Jesus – God in man form come to walk on this earth, live a sinless life, die on a cross for our sins, rise on the 3rd day to give us power over our sins, and went back to the right hand of God to intercede for each of us.

John 3:16 New King James Version

16 For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

One of the common themes with each of these men are their callings wasn’t just when it was convenient or one or two days a week. It was a lifestyle. Each of these men chose to be obedient to God and follow his instruction EVEN THOUGH THEY KNEW IT COULD BE LIFE OR DEATH FOR THEM. Our Pastor is no different. Several years ago he got on his knees and answered the call of God on his life. Being someone who is going through the same thing currently, I must say, it is scary. Not wanting to mess up. Not wanting to say or do anything that contradicts what God wants. Realizing other people are looking to you for answers with their problems. Well, I will stand here today and tell you, Pastor faces problems every day that he must overcome. Pastor gets tested daily. Pastor gets tempted constantly. But our pastor goes to the Father for strength. He goes to God for understanding. He goes to the Lord of Lords for answers

He goes to our Yahweh Rohi because God is our shepherd.

He goes to our Yahweh Shammah because God is always present

He goes to our Yahweh Rapha because God is our Healer.

He goes to our Yahweh Jireh because God is our provider

So Pastor, what is your blessings from God? I got a few for you.

Numbers 6:24-26 The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you and give you peace.

Isaiah 54:17 17 No weapon formed against you shall prosper, And every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn.
